N^o 3 consept

This time, the theme was "Zen," and I briefly summarized the journey from Tokyo to Kamakura, Kanazawa, Ashiya, Okayama, and Setouchi. In keeping with the personality of the person in charge, we chose as the subject of the painting not the traditional "Dharma painting," but Hakuin Ekaku's Zen painting "Hamaguri Kannon," which depicts "Zen" in a free and subjective manner. Since Hakuin was not a professional painter or monk, the charming loose touch of his work, which feels like it was painted by an amateur, really stands out.

今回は「禅」をテーマに、東京〜鎌倉〜金沢〜芦屋〜岡山〜瀬戸内の旅の流れを簡単にまとめてみました。キャサリンの人柄に合わせて、伝統的な「達磨図」ではなく、自由で主観的な表現で「禅」を描いた白隠慧鶴の禅画「蛤蜊観音図（はまぐりかんのんず）」を採用しました。白隠は職業画家や画僧ではないため、素人が描いたようなゆるいタッチが魅力的です。
